The Photographic Imaginary: the myth of the perfect archival medium
Biography.
Dr Kelley Wilder is the author of Photography and Science (2009) and continues to research photography, evidence and observation. She has contributed to three of DMU’s digital databases and remains committed to bringing primary resources in photographic history to the web.
Kelley currently leads a working group at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Berlin, entitled Documenting the World with Gregg Mitman, University of Wisconsin, USA. This collaborative project on the role of photography and film in archiving will be published as a book in 2011.
Kelley is Programme Leader of the MA Photographic History and Practice at DMU, and a member of the Photographic History Research Centre.
